Written by Nick Blenkey
MAY 17, 2017 — Cunard’s 964.5 ft, 2,014 passenger Queen Victoria is currently in dry dock at Fincantieri’s Palermo, Sicily, shipyard for what Cunard says is a “partial” refit.
The cruise ship arrived at the yard May 5 and the refit is scheduled to complete on June 4.
It will include upgrades and increased choice of state rooms, new Britannia Club dining, a new Yacht Club and a relocated Chart Room.
A major feature of the make-over is a new aft lido sun deck, which has now been lifted into place by the shipyard.
