Vard reels in contract to build gillnetter

AUGUST 13, 2015—Vard Holdings Limited, one of the major global designers and shipbuilders of offshore and specialized vessels, reports that it has secured a contract worth NOK 60 million (about $7.35 million) for the construction of one coastal fishing vessel for Breivik AS of Norway.
The gillnetter will be Seacon SC34 design, and is equipped with a factory and freezing plant. Vessel will be built at Vard Braila shipyard in Romania and delivered in the third quarter of 2016.
