Austal USA gets $13.9 million Navy award

MARCH 18, 2016 — Austal USA, Mobile, AL, is being awarded a $13,974,187 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-11-C-2301 to exercise an option for special studies, analyses and review efforts for the Littoral Combat Ship Program Office, PMS 501.

Work will be performed in Mobile, (72 percent); and Pittsfield, MA (28 percent), and is expected to be complete by March 2017.  

Fiscal 2015 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funding in the amount of $1,500,000 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  

The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.
