E.R. Offshore adds two Vard newbuilds

JULY 15, 2014 — Vard Holdings Limited has secured a contract for the design and construction of a VARD 1 08 design platform supply vessel for E.R. Offshore, Hamburg, Germany, which has also taken over the contract of a sister vessel from Carlotta Offshore.

Both vessels are being built at Vard’s Vung Tau, Vietnam, shipyard. The vessel originally ordered by Carlotta is set for the third quarter 2015 delivery while the just announced newbuild  is scheduled for delivery in second quarter 2016.

The vessels are multifunctional 81 m x 18m PSVs with a cargo deck area of 830 sq.m and will be prepared for standby, rescue, firefighting and oil recovery operations.
