
Detyens wins $21.3 million MSC contract

Detyens Shipyards Inc., North Charleston, S.C., has been awarded a $21,316,067 contract for a 75-calendar day shipyard availability for the regular overhaul and drydocking of USNS Sacagawea (T-AKE 2).
The contract includes options, that, if exercised, would bring the total contract value to $21,942,075.
The contract was competitively procured with proposals solicited via the Federal Business Opportunities website.Two offers were received. The Navy’s Military Sealift Command, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity.
