Eastern delivers Z-Tech escort tug

JUNE 3, 2016 — Delivered by Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Panama City, FL  last month, the Zyana K is the second in a series of Robert Allan, Ltd. (RAL) designed Z-Tech 2400 class terminal and escort tugs currently under construction at Eastern’s Nelson Street shipyard for Bay-Houston Towing Co.

Eastern is also constructing an identical series of four tugs for Suderman & Young Towing Company.

G&H Towing Company is acting as the owners’ onsite representative and agent during the engineering, construction and delivery for both series and will operate the vessels after delivery.
