Chouest awarded $7.5 million mod to MSC contract

Edison Chouest Offshore, Cut Off, La., has been awarded a $7,576,200 modification to a previously awarded Navy contract that exercises the second 12 month option for the maritime support vessel MV Carolyn Chouest. This vessel will be utilized to launch, recover, refuel and resupply various size crafts in the Pacific Command’s area of responsibility. This is the second, 12-month option.

The contract includes a 12-month base period, three 12-month option periods, and one 11-month option period. Work will be performed in the Pacific Command’s area of responsibility, and is expected to be completed, if all options are exercised by Nov. 21, 2022.

Fiscal 2020 (Navy) working capital funds in amount of $7,576,200 and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The Navy’s Military Sealift Command, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity.
