In a tweet on January 4, U.K. Secretary of Defence Ben Wallace announced that Royal Navy ships HMS Montrose and HMS Defender will resume accompaniments of U.K.-flagged commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

Specifically, Secretary Wallace said he had instructed preparations for the two warships to return to accompanying duties for “Red Ensign Shipping.”
