Kvichak delivers RB-M C to Seattle Police Department

SPD-RB-M-CKvichak Marine Industries, Seattle, has recently delivered Patrol 9, a 45 ft Response Boat Medium – C (RB-M C) to the Seattle Police Department Harbor Patrol Unit (SPD).

Patrol 9 is the 500th hull built at Kvichak’s Ballard facility and will be based at the Harbor Patrol’s facility on nearby Lake Union. Kvichak is currently building two additional RB-M C vessels for the New York Police Department Harbor Unit after delivering its first RB-M C in 2010.

SPD’s primary missions for the RB-M C will be marine law enforcement, maritime security, rescue and assistance.

Patrol 9 is ready for service for the Opening Day of boating season in Seattle on Saturday, May 5, and will be on display at the Seattle Maritime Festival on Pier 66/Bell Harbor Marina on Saturday, May 12th.

Kvichak and the SPD Harbor Unit are hosting an open house at the Harbor Unit facility, 1717 N. Northlake Place, Lake Union Saturday, May 19 from 11a.m to 3 p.m. The RBM-C will be on display along with the Kvichak Harbor Patrol vessels built in 1997 and 2005.

  • Climate controlled pilot house and cabin
