STX Marine promotes Mike Carroll to VP Operations

Consulting naval architecture and marine engineering company STX Marine Inc. has promoted Mike Carroll to the position of Vice President – Operations for its Houston office.

Mr. Carroll has been with the company for 10 years and has been instrumental in expanding the capabilities and profile of the company in the U.S. and will be responsible for the further success and development of the office.

Mr. Carroll has considerable experience in managing the design of a wide range of complex vessels and marine structures and is active in working with the Coast Guard and classification societies in the interpretation of international rules/regulations for vessels in the Jones Act sector. He has a Bachelor of Technology Degree and Diploma in Naval Architecture from Memorial University in Newfoundland.
