Incat Crowther-designed crewboat for Brazil

CrewboatETP Engenharia Ltda, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, recently delivered the 36m monohull crewboat Siem Piata to Siem Consub for service in Brazil for Petrobras. It will serve as a P2 crewboat in the Siem Consub fleet.

The Siem Piata is built from marine grade aluminum, with a beam of 7.5 meters, draft of 1.2 meters and passenger capacity of 60. It has accommodations for 10 crew members. Certified to Bureau Veritas and Brazilian Maritime Standards, the Siem Piata was primarily developed by Incat Crowther’s office in Morgan City, La. Incat Crowther is headquartered in Newport, Australia.

Propulsion for the crewboat is supplied by three Caterpillar C32 main engines, each of which drive a Hamilton HM721 waterjet via ZF 3050 marine reduction gears. A single 100-hp bow thruster is mounted forward for station keeping purposes. The crewboat will have a service speed of 20 knots.
