DOF Subsea books contracts worth $50 million

Geoholm DOF SubseaOCTOBER 17, 2012 — DOF Subsea AS says that it has secured contracts worth about a total $50 million in Asia, Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico “over the last couple of weeks.”

In the Gulf of Mexico DOF Subsea has been awarded a new survey contract with Saipem America for the pre-lay survey support of Saipem’s CastorOne 2013 installation campaign. The contract has a duration of about two months with start-up in early January 2013. The contract value is about $6 million and the multiservice support vessel Geoholm (pictured left) will be utilized.
 
CEO Mons S Aase is “very pleased” with the contract award that will increase the contract coverage for  fourth quarter 2012 and for first quarter 2013.

In the Asia Pacific Region DOF Subsea has secured several new contracts and extension of existing contracts with a total contract value of about $20 million. The contract award will increase the utilization of the region’s vessels Geobay, Skandi Singapore and Skandi Hercules.

In the Atlantic, region DOF Subsea has been awarded several new contracts and extension of existing contracts with a total contract value of $24 millions. The contract award will increase the utilization of the region’s vessels Geosund, Skandi Skolten and Geoholm.
