Speakers at Marine Log’s upcoming TTB (Tugs, Towboats, Barges) event will include Tim Pickering of MARAD’s Office of Ports & Waterways and Rich Teubner, Vice President of SEACOR AMH, who will look at MARAD’s Marine Highways Program and the development of Container-on-Barge (COB) services such as those provided by SEACOR AMH.

The public benefits of shifting freight to waterways include reduced landside congestion and infrastructure wear and tear. This presentation will focus on where we currently are with expansion of the Marine Highways program and COB services, how they benefit both waterways operators and deep sea shipping — and how to incentivize shippers to switch to COB.

To be held at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza in Mobile, Ala., March 24 & 25, TTB will build on our previous TUGS & BARGES events but with expanded waterways industry coverage.
