MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, prioritizing and assessing manpower requirements for work assignments; the maintenance, installation and repair of equipment; and all stockroom and warehouse activities. The individual shall act as the onsite Safety

Officer for the maintenance facility and be responsible for investigation and preparation of reports on work-related injuries. The individual will coordinate with other management personnel in identifying and procuring material and equipment necessary for all work assignments prior to each vessel’s annual overhaul and repair period. The individual must be available to respond to emergency calls at all times.

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent experience (USCG License preferred); be computer literate (MS-Word, Excel, Project and CMMS programs preferred); have knowledge in the operation and maintenance of main propulsion and auxiliary systems with five to ten years experience supervising various trades personnel in the repair and maintenance of ships. The candidate should have a general understanding and familiarity with USCG regulations for the repair and construction of commercial vessels with the ability to interpret and comprehend engineering drawings along with the ability to plan work assignments and evaluate manpower resources to develop production schedules for the overhaul and repair of the Authority’s vessels.
