Boat has been renamed M/V Lena Louise

Lake Providence, La., headquartered Terral River Service, Inc. reports that the M/V Lena Louise, a boat acquired from Kinder Morgan in 2017 and previously named the M/V Austin Stone, is back in service after a five month rebuild.

The rebuild took place in Lettsworth, La., and was completed in March of this year. All three main engines were rebuilt at Louisiana CAT and all three gears inspected by Karl Senner, with one gear replaced due to poor condition. The port generator was rebuilt by Terral’s mechanics, steering upgraded to electronic with full follow-up and nonfollow-up steering, and all new gauges and alarms were installed. All exterior lights were converted to LED and the galley and pilot house interior all received upgrades.

Tensas Machinery repaired the fleet deck and handrails and reconditioned the tail shafts and rudders. Donovan Marine reconditioned the wheels, and new face wire winches purchased from Dixon Marine were installed. The boat was drydocked for minor hull repairs at Vidalia Dock and Storage in Vidalia, La..

The boat is on the water now as part of the Hickman Fleet at Blytheville, Arkansas.

Bruce Mcunckie, Operations Manager at Terral’s Blytheville-Decatur location, says that this is the first of five acquired boats to get this treatment. “We look forward to upgrading the rest of the fleet and bringing them all up to Terral’s standards,” he says.
