Marine Log’s 36th Annual FERRIES Conference will take place in the NYC area on November 14th and 15th, 2023.
FERRIES 2023 is an opportunity for the North American ferry industry to come together to share experiences, network, look for new suppliers and reconnect with existing suppliers.
The act of designing or upgrading ferries takes a lot into consideration outside of the vessel’s blueprints. Making a greener ferry is a design choice and so is passenger experience.
FERRIES 2023 will focus on how today’s ferries—those under construction, coming online soon, or already in operation—can prepare for the changing scope of future operations.

Call for Papers: Share Your Ferry Story with Our Audience
Do you have a project or area of interest you’d like to share with our audience? FERRIES 2023 is an opportunity for maritime owners, operators, designers and builders to bring together their collective wisdom and shared experience in looking at issues ranging from green technology, alternative fuels, designing future ferries, regulatory hurdles, and funding opportunities.
Submit a presentation proposal by June 1 to be considered for a conference session.
Speakers are needed on the following topics:
- Can you talk about shoreside infrastructure for ferries?
- Do you have a green tech innovation that is being implemented in ferries (or will be soon)?
- Do you specialize in alternative fuels or decarbonization efforts for the ferry market?
- Do you have a ferry that is being converted, upgraded or receiving green repairs?
- What regulatory hurdles do ferry owners, operators, designers and builders need to be made aware of?
- What funding opportunities are there for ferry owners, operators, designers and builders that will not only allow them to access green technologies but also complete new ferry routes and builds?
- Do you have a ferry project that is new or upcoming? Let us know!
Submission Guidelines
Please send a presentation synopsis and a brief business biography to Heather Ervin at [email protected] by June 1. Presentation proposals from suppliers should focus on educational case studies and not be promotional in nature.
