AlphaTron introduces the AlphaEye

OCTOBER 29, 2015 — Rotterdam, Netherlands, based integrated bridge systems specialist Alphatron Marine has introduced the AlphaEye, which it describes as “the next generation service communication tool.”

The company says it has built a total service platform around the wearable product, which allows crew on board the vessel to call through a dedicated satellite link directly to let an expert in the Alphatron Marine office experience through live audio and visual contact the issues they are facing.

Alphatron says that besides supporting its own bridge navigation and communication equipment, the AlphaEye and the associated shoreside support facilities can be utilized for all other remote assistance situations on board vessels and platforms, even for medical situations.
