
VT Halter promotes five, hires one

AUGUST 5, 2015 — VT Halter Marine, Inc. has announced a number of management moves. They come less than two months after the appointment of Jack Prendergast as President and CEO following the retirement Bill Skinner (see earlier story).
Today, the company reported the promotion of Richard A. Zubic (Rick Zubic) to Executive Vice President, Shipbuilding; Rob Mullins to Senior Vice President, Strategy and Estimating; Harry Bell to Vice President, Sales and Marketing; and Pawan Agrawal to Vice President Repair. Additionally, Phil Adams is joins the VT Halter Marine team as Senior Vice President.
“These professionals bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and dedication to our company,” said Mr. Prendergast. “Their promotions reflect the confidence we have in their contribution and to our success here at VT Halter Marine.”
Executive VP, Shipbuilding Rick Zubic, was formerly VP, Sales and Marketing. He has nineteen years of service with VT Halter Marine and forty-two years in the shipbuilding industry. His new responsibilities include Sales, Business Development Estimating and Program Management.
Rob Mullins has been promoted from VP Program Management and Estimating, to Senior VP of Strategy and Estimating. He is a second generation employee of VT Halter Marine shipyards and has over twenty-six years of service.
Phil Adams joins VT Halter Marine as Senior Vice President after retiring with over thirty-one years of Federal service. His responsibilities include Chief Compliance Officer and Facility Security Officer.
Harry Bell moves up from Director of Sales and Marketing for Repair and Conversion to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He has over forty years in the shipbuilding and ship repair business, and has been with VT Halter Marine since March 2014.
Pawan Agrawal, formerly Director Corporate Development, has been promoted to VP of Repair. He has been in the marine industry for twenty-five years, twenty of them with VT Halter Marine and its Singapore sister yard ST Marine.
