Dick Bollinger passes away

dbollingerRichard “Dick” N. Bollinger, President Emeritus of Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., Lockport, LA, has passed away.

In a joint statement, Donald T. Bollinger, Chairman, President and CEO, Christopher B. Bollinger, Executive Vice President; Benjamin G. Bordelon, Executive Vice President, Repair; and Charlotte A. Bollinger, Executive Vice President,and Corporate Secretary, said:
“One of the patriarchs and the dearest member of the Bollinger family has passed away. It is our great sorrow to tell you that Dick BMRDICKollinger died this morning.  Dick fought the good fight and truly lived until he died.  We ask you to keep his family in your prayers.  Dick—the President Emeritus of Bollinger Shipyards– died at home surrounded by his loving family.  His children–Aimee, Bobbie, Claire and Julie—want you to know that he passed away peacefully and did not suffer.  They thank you all for your concern, best wishes and prayers during his lengthy illness.”

Founded in 1946, Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., is a family-owned company that operates 12 shipyards on the U.S. Gulf Coast.
