Registration is now open for Marine Log’s FERRIES 2026 Conference, taking place November 10-11, 2026, in Seattle, Wash.
Now in its 39th year, FERRIES is North America’s premier conference dedicated to the passenger ferry industry, bringing together ferry owners and operators, naval architects, shipbuilders, regulators, technology providers, and other maritime professionals to discuss the operational challenges and opportunities shaping the sector.
Held under the theme “Smarter Fleets. Stronger Operations.”, this year’s conference will focus on practical strategies for improving reliability, modernizing fleets, increasing operational efficiency, and enhancing the passenger experience. The two-day program will feature presentations, case studies, and expert panel discussions led by industry leaders from across North America.
Topics expected to be covered include:
- Fleet operations, reliability, and maintenance strategies
- Ridership growth and passenger experience
- U.S. Coast Guard cybersecurity requirements and regulatory compliance
- Capital planning, funding, and project economics
- What to know before you build a ferry
- Fleet modernization, electrification, hybrid propulsion, and decarbonization
Sessions will explore issues ranging from predictive maintenance and voyage optimization to preparing for major passenger surges during large-scale events, such as the World Cup, avoiding newbuild cost overruns, implementing shore charging infrastructure, and managing the operational realities of transitioning to low- and zero-emission vessels.
In addition to the conference program, attendees will have opportunities to network with ferry operators, suppliers, shipbuilders, designers, and industry stakeholders from across North America.
Designed by the industry for the industry, FERRIES 2026 aims to provide attendees with practical insights and real-world lessons they can apply within their own organizations while fostering collaboration across the ferry community.
Registration is now open. Additional program details, speakers, and sponsors will be announced in the coming months.
