Coco Yachts books order for Coastal Cruiser 298

MAY 24, 2016 — Gorinchem, Netherlands, based designer CoCo Yachts and China’s AFAI Southern Shipyard have booked an order for a Coastal Cruiser 298 custom designed luxury passenger ferry for the WuZhiZhou Island, Hainan, ferry service’s Sanya – Hainan route.
Delivery will be third quarter 2017.
The WuZhiZhou Island ferry fleet is in process of a major upgrade. CoCo Yachts and the shipbuilder were able to propose the best combination of design – performance – delivery time and price.
CoCo Yachts says that while the 298-passenger ferry’s exterior had to be special and attractive, performance in waves and the comfort for passengers and crew of the new ferry had provide significant improvements.
The aluminum hulled medium speed Coastal Cruiser 298 will be equipped with winch operated passenger ramps on each of the main deck to ensure safe and efficient boarding.
