Rem Offshore orders OSCV at Kleven Verft

NOVEMBER 8, 2012 — Norway’s Rem Offshore ASA has placed a newbuilding contract with shipbuilder Kleven Verft AS for a 108 m x 22 m OSCV vessel of the MT6022 design.

The vessel will be delivered from the shipyard in the first quarter of 2014 and the contract price is approximately NOK 600 million (about US$105 million).

Rem Offshore ASA has entered into a long term contract agreement with an international subsea company for the vessel. The firm contract period is approximately 8 years, with a further 5 yearly options. The firm period of the contract has a total value of approx NOK 1 billion (about $175 million).
