Olympic orders another IMR vessel at Kleven

MAY 28, 2014 — Norwegian shipbuilder Kleven Verft has signed a contract with Olympic Shipping AS covering construction of an IMR (inspection, maintenance and repair) vessel of Marin Teknikk MT 6021 MK2 design.

The contract value is around NOK 450 million (about $75.5 million), and the vessel will be delivered from Kleven Verft in June 2015.

Kleven is building an MT6021 IMR for Olympic for delivery from the shipyard in March 2015.

The MK2 design is a further development of the MT 6021 design and has been developed by Marin Teknikk in cooperation with Olympic, with a sharp focus on efficient and environmental friendly solutions.

The MT 6021 MKII is equipped with an 80 tonne offshore crane, ROV hangars, and accommodations for 80 persons.
