Island Offshore orders another at Vard

Vard Brevik's most recent delivery to Island Offshore, in June, was the 84.65 m x 17 m PSV Island Dragon
OCTOBER 3, 2014 — Island Offshore, in which the Chouest and Ulstein families are partners, has placed an order with shipbuilder Vard for an 86 m x 18.5 m offshore support vessel.
Vard says the total value of the contract is close to NOK 300 million.
The vessel is scheduled for delivery from Vard’s Brevik, Norway, shipyard in first quarter2016. The hull will be delivered from Vard Braila in Romania.
In addition to this latest contract, Island Offshore has five vessels under construction at Vard.
