Sphere Offshores names Captain Andrew Cox VP

NOVEMBER 27, 2012 — Houston-based marine survey and rig moving company Sphere Offshore Solutions LLC, has appointed Captain Andrew Cox as Vice President, a newly created executive leadership position.

J. Barry Snyder, president of Sphere Offshore’s parent Signet Maritime Corporation, says, “We welcome Captain Cox to this expanded management position, designed expressly to underscore the commitment Sphere and Signet have to the marine consultancy sector.”

Sphere Offshore Solutions provides tow master services throughout the globe. With the appointment of Captain Cox, it is now also providing marine warranty survey services and general marine consultancy to offshore oil and gas industry clients.

Captain Cox comes to Sphere from GL Noble Denton, where he was Marine Department Vice President. He joined GL Noble Denton in 1991 as Senior Survey.

Captain Cox holds a Class 1 (Master Mariner) Foreign-Going Certificate of Competency.
