NOVEMBER 13, 2013 — Resolve Maritime Academy says it has been chosen as Norwegian Cruise Line’s preferred provider of all simulator-based training courses, along with additional safety courses, which are set to begin in February at Resolve Maritime Academy’s Simulation Training Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

“Resolve’s state of the art facility utilizes the same equipment as we have on our cruise ships, which makes it a perfect place to conduct simulation training for our officers,” said Svein Sleipnes, senior vice president of marine operations for Norwegian Cruise Line. Norwegian’s simulation training was previously conducted the Netherlands.

Utilizing leading simulation technology, the suite of courses will be taken primarily by Norwegian Cruise Line officers and include a five-day customized bridge resource management course using Norwegian Cruise Line-specific policies and procedures.

“Resolve Maritime Academy is proud to be named Norwegian Cruise Line’s preferred provider of Simulation Training. To the greatest extent possible, we make all efforts to customize our training to incorporate the policies and procedures of our clients. We look forward to working with Norwegian Cruise Line to assist them in developing realistic and relevant training that enhances the safety at sea for all passengers and crew,” said Denise Johnston, Director of Resolve Maritime Academy.
