Interceptor police boat
MetalCraft Marine recently launched what it calls “a serious patrol boat” for the Mobile, Ala., Police Department. The 34’ Interceptor patrol has a large cabin with 6’10” headroom, and a large aft deck for open workspaces for officers who wear a lot of equipment while working.
The boat will spend long hours out in the Gulf and Mobile Bay and has adequate heat and air conditioning, powered by a Westerbeke gas generator, for the wide range of temperatures officers will be subject to.
The boat has twin Suzuki 300 HP outboards and has Seastar Joystick steering for docking or holding station. The boat had a comprehensive suite of navigation electronics by Simrad.
