Maersk Line, Limited acquires 3PSC

AUGUST 3, 2012 — Maersk Line, Limited (MLL) has acquired Cape Canaveral, Fla., based 3PSC, a privately-held ship operator which specializes in the management and operation of Military Sealift Command (MSC) oceanographic and other ships.

Under the terms of the acquisition agreement, MLL will take over 3PSC’s current contract for the operation and maintenance of MSC special mission ships.

MLL plans to integrate 3PSC operations into its Norfolk headquarters by the end of the calendar year.

“During our visits to the Cape Canaveral office, we have been impressed by the technical expertise and professionalism of the 3PSC team. We are pleased to have them join Maersk Line, Limited,” said John F. Reinhart, President and CEO of MLL.

Gary King, the founder and President and Chief Executive Officer of 3PSC, will leave 3PSC as part of the agreement.
