Conley Marine names Laura Martin Director of Sales

St. Louis, Mo., headquartered Subchapter M compliance specialist Conley Marine Services has appointed Laura Martin as its new Director of Sales and Business Development.
Martin was previously VP of Sales at maritime software specialist MarineCFO.
“Since our purchase of the Conley Boatyard six months ago we have seen substantial growth in work volume and the expansion of both our core business solutions and niche offerings,” said Daniel Babin, President at Conley Marine Services. “We have seen an increase in demand for our Regulatory Compliance/Project Management Division, and we believe Laura’s appointment will help us build on this base and develop into the leading inland yard in New Orleans.”

In 2018, with SubChapter M high on the brown-water industry’s list of priorities, Martin became a certified SubChapter M Lead Auditor and Surveyor through Decatur Marine Audit and Survey.
“These certifications have helped me better understand the challenges faced by marine companies,” she said. “I try to focus on learning more about what makes each operator unique, and how our services and products can grow to help our clients operate profitably and safely in a time of increasing regulatory oversight.”
She is also a certified ISM Lead Auditor and an active member in both WiMos and WISTA.
