Canadian Shipowners Association has a new President

AUGUST 8, 2012 — The Canadian Shipowners Association’s (CSA) has a new President. Robert Lewis-Manning took over the role August 1, succeeding Bruce Bowie.

Mr. Lewis-Manning joined the Canadian Shipowners Association in 2010 as the Vice President, Operations after a twenty-four year career in the Royal Canadian Navy. His extensive sea-going career, appointments in senior corporate positions, and experience leading strategic change made him a strong choice for this key position in the marine industry, says the CSA.

Mr. Lewis-Manning said that he is “…eager to increase the profile of this important and innovative industry and ensure that it is recognized as a leader in sustainability and prosperity in Canada.”

Based in Ottawa, the CSA represents the interests of Canadian shipowners conducting short sea shipping within North America.
