Becker Marine Systems opens U.S. office

NOVEMBER 6, 2014 — Hamburg, Germany, headquartered Becker Marine Systems has its opened a U.S. office in Houston to better serve the North American market and has appointed Mike Pevey as Director of Sales, U.S.A.

A California Maritime Academy graduate and a veteran of the North American marine industry, Mr. Pevey brings engineering knowledge and customer focus to the role.

“With numerous shipping companies in North America, there is great demand for products from Becker Marine Systems — for example, the CO2 emissions-reducing Becker Mewis Duct,” says Mr. Pevey. Rudders for newbuildings of all sizes and vessel types as well as
maneuvering systems for river navigation are among the major local market segments.

Becker will be exhibiting at the International Workboat Show in New Orleans next month, promoting its full product range, including high-performance rudder and maneuvering systems, including the Twisted Leading Edge Flap Rudder (TLFKSR).
