Bath Iron Works gets $70 million Navy contract mod

ddg picDECEMBER 5, 2012 — General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, is being awarded a $70,491,916 modification under a previously awarded contract (N00024-12-C-4311) to exercise option year 1 for DDG 51 and FFG 7 class integrated planning yard services. Bath Iron Works will provide expert design, planning and material support services for both maintenance and modernization. Contract funds in the amount of $678,931 will be obligated at time of award. Work will be performed in Bath, Maine, and is expected to complete by December 2013. Contract funds in the amount of $678,931 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
