TTB topics will include increasing diversity in the marine industry

Kasey Eckstein, founder and executive director of of WIMOs (Women in Maritime Operations), will be among the speakers at Marine Log’s upcoming TTB—Tugs, Towboats & Barges event. Her topic will be how to increase diversity in the marine industry, retention of women in the industry and the importance of marine education for women.

In addition to her role at WIMOs, Eckstein is the Director of Partnership Development at Living Lands and Waters, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cleaning up the U.S. inland waterway system. Her prior experience includes serving as Senior Account Manager – New Sales at ABB, working on selling electric propulsion systems to the towboat industry, and as Director – Outside Sales & Business Development at Marquette Transportation Company.

To be held at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza in Mobile, Ala., March 24 & 25, TTB will build on our previous TUGS & BARGES events but with expanded waterways industry coverage.
