The conference program for Marine Log’s upcoming TTB (Tugs, Towboats, Barges) event is developing rapidly. Being held at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza in Mobile, Ala., March 24 & 25, TTB will build on our previous TUGS & BARGES events but with expanded waterways industry coverage.

A lot of emphasis will be on lessons learned from experience and a program highlight will be a presentation by Caterpillar and Bisso Towboat on the Andrew S. It is not only the most powerful ASD tractor tug in the Mississippi River ship-assist trade, but also the first Tier 4 tug of this type on the river, involving some changes to Bisso’s existing ASD tug design, with other changes need to meet Subchapter M requirements.

With Subchapter M compliance continuing to be contentious, our program will include a panel discussion on the topic featuring Tava Foret of the Towing Vessel Inspection Bureau, Caitlyn Stewart of AWO and Dennis Bryson of ABS.

More TTB speakers and presenters are being confirmed daily. Check out the program and register HERE
