
CMN longliners feature Fluidmecanica equipment

JULY 11, 2014 — Cherbourg, France, shipbuilder CMN (Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie) has now delivered the first five in a series of 24 longline trawlers ordered by Mozambique.
The 23.50 m long fishing vessels feature steering gears and rudder blades by Fluidmecanica of Vigo, Spain, having the following characteristics:
Nominal torque 15 kNm
Rotation angle ±35º
Maneuvering time (with 1 pump) 28 seconds
Projected area per rudder 2.15 sq.m
