Bourbon awarded major contract by ExxonMobil Guyana

Marseille-headquartered offshore services major Bourbon reports that it has signed a major 5-year contract (with extension options) with ExxonMobil Guyana Limited (EMGL) to provide maritime services in Guyana. It covers the transportation of products essential to offshore operations in one of the world’s most dynamic oil basins and will .atart in the first quarter of 2026, with the commissioning of the 2014-built PSV Bourbon Calm, following modifications to equip it for the role.
This contract marks a major step forward for the sector, as it allows the transport of chemicals in Guyana by a PSV for the first time in compliance with the OSV Chemical Code. Adjustments and upgrades have been made on board Bourbon Calm in a targeted manner, including modifications to the pumping systems, enhanced tank cleaning and strengthened operational procedures, after validation by the maritime authorities and DNV classification society. With the modifications, Bourbon Calm becomes one of the few offshore vessels in the world authorized to carry out this type of operation.
Bourbon says that its solution is both competitive, sustainable and immediately operational,consolidating the group’s position in the Guyanese oil and gas market.
