LEEVAC companies consolidate under LEEVAC Shipyards LLC umbrella

Jennings, La., based LEEVAC Industries, LLC and sister company LEEVAC Shipbuilding and Repair Calcasieu have changed their names and have consolidated under a newly formed holding company LEEVAC Shipyards, LLC

For the past ten years, LEEVAC has operated a new construction business under the name of LEEVAC Industries LLC, and two years ago started LEEVAC Shipbuilding and Repair Calcasieu LLC, whose main focus is the ship repair business.

“This consolidation of LEEVAC’s core shipyards under one corporate umbrella positions the company in the best possible position to support long term growth,” says President and owner, Christian Vaccari.  “We have been in the shipyard business for nearly fifty years and feel that this move will help position the company for another fifty years.”

Mr. Vaccari added that the shipyards in Jennings and Lake Charles, La., will now operate under the names of LEEVAC Shipyards Jennings, LLC and LEEVAC Shipyards Lake Charles, LLC, respectfully. Additionally, he said, the company has formed a new subsidiary called LEEVAC Design Services, LLC that will continue to provide high-quality engineering services and design to the marine industry.

“LEEVAC Shipyards, LLC with its spirit of ‘We Make It Happen’ will continue to meet the high expectations of our customers as the new companies combine their technical expertise in design, shipbuilding and repair for many years to come,” said Mr. Vaccari.

LEEVAC Shipyards, LLC founded in 1965, is one of the leading custom steel fabrication and repair shipyards located in Southwestern area of Louisiana serving the oil and gas service industry operating in Gulf of Mexico and other offshore oil drilling sites around the world.  LEEVAC’s core specialty is in the construction of state of the art OSV and PSV class vessels.
