Bollinger wins SCA Safety Award for twelfth year in a row

MAY 23, 2017 — Bollinger Shipyards was presented the 2016 “Award for Excellence in Safety” at the Shipbuilders Council of America (SCA) recent Annual General Membership Meeting in Washington, DC.

This marks the twelfth successive year that Bollinger has won the award, which is given to member companies with the lowest total recordable incident rates (TRIR) based on a quarterly injury and illness survey conducted by the SCA

Ben Bordelon, Bollinger’s President and CEO said, “Bollinger Shipyards has earned the SCA Award for Excellence in Safety for the twelfth consecutive year. This recognition of exceptional safety performance by the shipbuilding and repair industry is realized only through the continued efforts of Bollinger employees who have made safety a priority.
