BAE San Diego Ship Repair gets $17.1 million mod to DDG 83 contract

USS HowardJUNE 14, 2012 – BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair, Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $17,100,313 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-award-fee contract (N00024-11-C-4408) to definitize the USS Howard (DDG 83) fiscal 2012 dry-dock selected restricted availability (DSRA).  A DSRA includes the planning and execution of depot-level maintenance, alterations, and modifications that will update and improve the ship’s military and technical capabilities.  Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by November 2012.  Contract funds in the amount of $17,100,311 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.
