Alu Marine Shipyard delivers pilot boat to Seine pilots

alu marine pilot boatAlu Marine shipyard, Port Launay, Couëron, France, has successfully delivered a new pilot boat to the Rouen based  Seine pilots.

To improve the quality of their services, the Seine pilots chose to invest in a lighter, faster and economical pilot boat, which consumes less fuel.The boat is therefore one of the first workboats to equipped with a Volvo Penta IPS (Inboard Propulsion System) 450 and was designed wtih the collaboration of naval architectural firm Geronimo Naval Design with the specifications being carefully studied to optimize performance and reliability, while minimizing running costs, especially fuel consumption.

The aluminum hulled craft is capable of rapid turnarounds at a service speed of 30 knots.
