NETSCo’s Richard Mueller named SNAME President-elect

The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) has named Richard Mueller its President-elect.

Mueller, who is president and CEO of Columbia Station, Ohio, headquartered naval architecture and marine engineering firm NETSCo, has almost five decades of experience in the maritime industry. He has been a member of SNAME for over 46 years and has been actively involved in several of the society’s leadership activities. He was Chairman (Chair) of the Technical Committee for the SNAME Maritime Conference (SMC) in 2023 and has been appointed to be Chair of SMC 2024. In addition, he served in various elected positions including six terms as Chair for the Great Lakes/Great Rivers Section; Functional V.P. of Planning & Public Policy and Functional V.P. of Membership, and he has served on the SNAME Executive Committee and Council for more than 20 years. Additionally, he has served two six-year terms as Regional Vice President, Central and Gulf Region.
