JULY 9, 2015 — Four 33 m catamaran ferries under construction for Singapore’s Majestic Fast Ferry at PT Cahaya Samudra Shipyard, Indonesia, are being built to a new design by Incat Crowther.

The vessels will each be powered by a pair of MAN D2862 LE463 main engines driving fixed pitch propellers.

With 1,029 kW per hull, the vessels will cruise at 28 knots and will be built to the HSC 2000 code under Bureau Veritas survey.

All of the vessel’s 200 passengers will enter through midship boarding doors and sit in forward-facing seats. In addition, there are four seats for crew members.

At the aft end of the cabin are a 6-person crew room and kiosk, as well as three heads.

The upper deck carries no passengers and features only the wheelhouse, which has excellent all-round visibility.
