Zamakona delivers third FSV to Atlantic Offshore

MAY 8, 2015 — Spanish shipbuilder Zamakona Yards reports that its Pasajes, San Sebastián, shipyard has delivered the Field Support Vessel (FSV) Ocean Falcon to Norway’s Atlantic Offshore A.S.

The ship is the third in a three ship series of Havyard HY820 design vessels ordered at Zamakona by Atlantic Offshore.

The FSVs are designed to provide rapid response to North Sea rig emergencies.

With a length of 66.8 m and beam of 16 m, the ship has the capacity to evacuate 300 people and has a pulling capacity of 65 tons for towing operations.

Ocean Falcon is now sailing for Aberdeen, where its christening is scheduled for May 29.
