LEEVAC launches third lightering support vessel for AET

leevacaetLEEVAC Shipyards, LLC and LEEVAC Shipyards Jennings, LLC report the launch of the AET Partnership.

The vessel is the third in a series of 187 ft x 46 ft x 15 ft  vessels ordered by AET Lightering Services, LLC., that was originally for two vessels but that included a series of options for up to six additional vessels.

These vessels will primarily service the lightering activities of AET in the Gulf of Mexico, based out of the Port of Galveston. “We are very excited about having this opportunity to build a relationship with AET” commented LEEVAC owner Christian Vaccari.

“With a continuing focus on quality, we are currently investing in a new fleet of workboats and enhancing our shore side support facilities in Galveston. At AET we are proud to command the largest share of the U.S. Gulf lightering market and to enjoy the best on-time performance of any US Gulf operator, we look to LEEVACmto provide those workboats in the coming years,” said Bill Merritt, General Manager AET.
