Forland orders new Havila 857 design subsea vessel
Written by Nick BlenkeyBergen, Norway, based Forland Shipping AS has signed a contract for a 110 m subsea vessel to be built at Havyard’s Leirvik shipyard in Sogn, Norway for delivery in August next year.
To be built to a new Havyard 857 design from Havyard Design & Engineering, the vessel will be 110 m long by 22 m wide. It will have accommodations for 106 personnel.
With 1,000 sq.m of deck space, it will have a 150 t crane and a moonpool. Features will include a “sky lounge” above the bridge.
