JANUARY 9, 2014 — Fuel management specialist Veritas Petroleum Services (VPS) has appointed Michael McNamara its Managing Director for the Americas.

Mr. McNamara, who holds an MBA in international business and finance from Oklahoma City University, was most recently Associate Vice President, Energy Management at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., where he was responsible for coordinating global strategies for all aspects of the company’s fuel exposure and energy expense across all of the corporation’s cruise and airline operations including procurement; emission abatement; fuel/emission regulation; fuel hedging; and energy efficiency.

“We are very pleased to have Michael onboard as he brings with him broad industry experience, high analytical skills, leadership capabilities and a wide range of functional skills,” said Eirik Andreassen, CEO, VPS.
