Vigor wins $14.7 million T-AO drydocking contract

Vigor Marine LLC, Portland, Ore., has been awarded a $14,731,225 contract for an 81-calendar day shipyard availability for the regular overhaul drydocking of USNS Yukon (T-AO 202).

The contract includes options that, if exercised, would bring its total value to $16,993,769

Work will include general services, miscellaneous steel repair, starboard main engine 12K overhaul, No. 4 SSDG 60K overhaul, various pump overhauls, lifeboats davit repair and maintenance, tank preservation, Quincy air compressor groom, steel replacement on 06 level doors, flight deck non-skid renewal, and tank deck overhead preservation.

Work will be performed in Portland, Oregon, and is expected to begin on April 26, 2019, and is expected to be completed by July 15, 2019.

Fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $14,731,225 are obligated for at the time of award.

This contract was competitively procured, with proposals solicited via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with one offer received.

The Navy’s Military Sealift Command, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity.
