Faaborg, Denmark, based Tuco Marine Group has added a 9.5 meter workboat to its ProZero International FPSO range.
Built on the proven, reliable and seaworthy ProZero hull platform, the new boat is strategically sized and carefully equipped for line and hose handling in offshore applications.
Like all ProZero vessels,it is built from robust glass- and carbon fiber composites, reducing its weight and thereby allowing both better speeds and lower fuel consumption.
Tuco Marine notes that good ride quality and ergonomics are key to enduring long and exhausting missions, and the ProZero FPSO Workboat is designed to provide just that.
With its non-stepped, variable deadrise, deep V-bottom hull featuring good forward entry, a flared bow, wide chines and lifting strakes/spray rails, the hull provides a safe and reliable base for offshore operations and will tackle even very active sea states.
Particular attention has been paid to crew comfort and the boat designed to minimize noise and vibrations while preserving structural integrity.
With its large deck and wide array of configuration options, the 9.5 m ProZero FPSO Workboat is a durable utility platform that can be tailored to a broad range of requirements. This latest addition to the line is equipped both for for hose and line handling operations and for oil spill response missions. The boat benefits from the same robust construction as its larger, ocean-going siblings.
The boat can be configured to accommodate a wide range of single and twin-engine propulsion options. Key features of the workboat include a comfortable wheelhouse for all weather operations, an option of a safety bar shielded foredeck, an open aft deck for the transport, deployment and recovery of lines, hoses and oil containment booms and large transom doors to facilitate water access.
For alternative uses, the ProZero 9,5 Workboat may be configured with a completely flat working deck. Further deck layouts are available, as are custom dive doors, tie-downs, forward and aft towing posts, various fendering systems and other mission-specific features.
