VIDEO: Royal Caribbean floats out Symphony of the Seas

JUNE 9, 2017 — The newest member of Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis class of ships, Symphony of the Seas has been floated out of the building dock at STX France’s Saint Nazaire shipyard to begin the next phase of interior construction.

When the 230,000 grt vessel makes her debut in April next year, she will claim the title of the world’s largest cruise ship, offering 28 more staterooms than her newest sister ship Harmony of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean says she will offer new features and amenities for guests, as well as boasting all the innovations and experiences offered by Harmony of the Seas. These include the distinct seven-neighborhood concept, Bionic Bar robot bartenders and Ultimate Abyss – the tallest slide at sea.
