TY launches another 30,000 barrel barge for FMT

MAY 21, 2013 — TY Offshore, LLC reports that it has launched FMT 3256, the eighth of eighteen 297 ft 6 in x 54 ft x 12 ft, 30,000 barrel tank barges for FMT Industries, LLC, one of the several companies within the Florida Marine Group (Florida Marine). FMT Industries has recently exercised its option for four additional barges from its original order of ten. The barges are being built at TY Offshore’s Gulfport, Mississippi shipyard. Additional barge launches will follow at thirty day intervals.

TY Offshore continues to set a remarkable pace with builds, orders and milestones.

The backlog now includes a total of six Harvey Gulf International 302 ft x 64 ft (92 m x 19.5 m) Dual Fuel Supply Vessels, Harvey Gulf having exercised its option for three more DFSVs in addition to its original order of three.

Two of a total order of ten 90 ft (27m ) MK V patrol boats are also under construction, eight having already been delivered.

Up to fifteen 42 ft waterjet propelled aluminum hull/composite superstructure crewboats under construction.
